- Click on the “post a job” button.

*Please note that if you want to start and return to this form later, you can click on the “Save And Finish Later” button that appears at the top and at the bottom of the page. Please ensure that you fill out all the required sections marked by an asterisk, or you will get an error message.*

Step 2: Select job type
- In the “Position Information” section, please ensure that you select the position type as “co-op” before proceeding.
- If you have posted a job in the U of T Co-op Portal in the past and would like to copy information from a pre-existing job posting, click on the drop-down menu under the “Copy existing” section and select the desired job posting.

Step 3: Fill in details of the co-op job posting
- Work term: Please select the year and term in which the work term will begin. “Fall” is usually a September start date. “Winter” is usually a January start date. “Summer” is usually a May start date.
- Co-op job title: Indicate the title of the Co-op position.
- Job description and qualifications: Provide a description of the job as well as qualifications that you would like a student to have to be considered.
- Required qualifications: If applicable, please add any required qualifications a student must have to be considered. If the qualifications are desired but not mandatory, please include them in the Job Description and Qualifications section.
- External funding contingent role: Click ‘Yes’ only if you will not be able to extend a firm offer unless external funding is secured.
- Security clearance contingent role: Click ‘Yes’ only if the offered student needs to clear a security check before a firm offer can be extended.
- Preferred program clusters: By partnering with University of Toronto Co-op you get access to qualified students from 100+ academic disciplines across three campuses through one talent hub. Our students have multi-faceted skill sets and experiences and benefit from having access to a wide range of roles. Therefore, all students will have the opportunity to view and apply to your job unless you indicate otherwise. Please select your preferred academic program clusters and/or sub-clusters that are the best match for your job requirements. Students can use your selections to filter the job postings to find the jobs they feel best qualified for.

- Limit applications based on chosen clusters (optional step): If you want to limit visibility of your posting to ONLY students in the programs included in your preference listed above (i.e. other students are not able to view or apply to your posting) and narrow the number of applications you receive, you have the option to do so by checking this box.
- Limit applications based on other program criteria (optional step): If you have even more specific academic program requirements (ex. you must only have students from a particular program), please provide the details here. The U of T Co-op Hub will adjust the posting accordingly so only students from the indicated programs can apply.
- Additional information: If you have any other information regarding your job posting that you would like to include, please include it in this field. This information is not shown on the postings for students to see. It provides the U of T Co-op team with additional information about your posting that you would like us to know.
- Work term duration: Please select the desired length of the co-op work term. If your work term duration does not meet the standard 4,8,12, or 16 month work term duration, please enter the appropriate duration in the next field.
- Number of openings: Please enter the number of openings available for the job in this field. If the number of openings is equal to zero, the job will be hidden from students. If you leave this field blank, it will not have any effect on students’ visibility.
Step 4: Indicate how and when you would like to receive student applications
- Automatic application packet generation: If you would like to receive an application packet PDF sent to you via email when the job posting closes please select “Yes”. This packet will include all documents submitted by all job applicants.
- Resume receipt: How would you like to receive students’ application materials? Select your desired method. Please note: You may select more than one “Resume Submission Method” option.
